Bidford Health Centre Flu Vaccination Programme
This year we have had to adapt how we deliver flu vaccinations to keep our patients and staff safe. Due to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection prevention and social distancing requirements, this year’s programme is being delivered through more regular but smaller capacity clinics including some Saturdays.
In order to deliver 3000+ flu vaccinations from our building where we have greater control of our environment, a reduction in our current routine nursing capacity whilst maintaining capacity for urgent requirements is needed.
We are using the side door to the rear of Crabtree Pharmacy for flu vaccinations to manage patient flow in and around the building. Please do not attend if you or a member of your household has symptoms of COVID-19 or are self-isolating for any reason.
We now have the 50-64 yrs vaccine on order and hopefully it should be available early December. We will let you know when appointments are open for booking.
We also have the children's nasal vaccine back in stock and those eligible will be contacted and asked to book into set clinics.
It would help us enormously if patients waited to be contacted rather than calling us to enquire. We will definitely be in touch with you soon if you're eligible and we have the vaccine for your age group in stock.
We encourage all eligible patients who receive a letter to book their flu vaccination appointment over the telephone between 2-4pm and invitations will be sent to those considered most at risk first.
We ask that patients wear a face covering when attending a clinic and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. Please attend alone where possible. We ask that patients wear clothing that makes it easy to expose your left upper arm.
Appointments are required to secure your vaccination – walk-in appointments will not be available on the day.
Thanks for your patience. Flu vaccine time is always a challenging one, but especially so this year.
